Episode 5: The Vadican Strikes Back

Eric Renderking Fisk | February 17th, 2016

This time we talk about the news of the week, The Oscars, Jared’s weight gain in prison, Donald Trump’s comb-over, Walt missing a screening of Spotlight, Government Budgets, and what Jeb Bush has been doing since quitting the race.

We also spend a lot of time talking about Space Travel, Leaving Earth for extended periods of time, and Scott Kelly coming back home after a year on the International Space Station.

Then we talk almost endlessly about The Vatican Archives and mistakes of the Catholic Church leadership.

Show Notes

From Wikipedia: "The Vatican Secret Archives (LatinArchivum Secretum Apostolicum VaticanumItalianArchivio Segreto Vaticano) is the central repository in the Vatican City for all of the actspromulgated by the Holy See. The Pope, as Sovereign of Vatican City and having primal incumbency, owns the archives until his death or resignation, with ownership passing to hissuccessor. The archives also contain the state papers, correspondence, papal account books,[1] and many other documents which the church has accumulated over the centuries. In the 17th century, under the orders of Pope Paul V, the Secret Archives were separated from the Vatican Library, where scholars had some very limited access to them, and remained absolutely closed to outsiders until 1881, when Pope Leo XIII opened them to researchers, more than a thousand of whom now examine some of its documents each year."
