Fast Food Brain Damage
The Week: Does fast food cause brain damage?
t's no surprise that eating fast food is bad for you. But just how bad? Recent studies suggest unhealthy foods can actually scar your brain. Here's what you should know: Brain damage? Seriously? Yes. According to a study recently published in The Journal of Clinical Investigation, fatty foods damaged the hypothalamus region of the brain in rodents. You already know that eating large amounts of fast food can cause weight gain because it's high in calories, sugar and fat. Men's Journal: Eating Junk Food Can Lead to Brain Damage
"Researchers at the University of New South Wales in Australia discovered that rats fed high-fat, high-sugar diets had significantly impaired special memory skills after only one week compared to rodents given healthier diets. The junk food–fed rats weren’t able to find objects that the researchers moved around, which was no problem for the other rats. Plus, these animals had inflammation around the hippocampus, the part of the brain that controls special memory."

Regeneration Vermont: US COURT DOCUMENTS SHOW MONSANTO MANAGER LED CANCER COVER UP FOR GLYPHOSATE AND PCBS -
Shortly after WHO’s International Agency for Research on Cancer’s (IARC) report on glyphosate confirmed glyphosate probably causes cancer in March 2015, Sustainable Pulse discovered EPA documents from 1991 that showed how a Monsanto funded long-term glyphosate safety study on mice, which suggested carcinogenic potential according to the EPA experts, was ‘reviewed’ again until it mysteriously showed no carcinogenic potential. The reason for the EPA review leading to the change in classification was unknown until this week. It is now clear however that the EPA was heavily influenced by Monsanto during the re-classification process.
